Conference Announcement: I Am Sir Oracle, Let No Dog Bark!

Dear NoCOUG members and friends,

Oracle guru, Craig Shallahamer is a very good speaker. You won’t ever mistake him for one of those men of whom Shakespeare wrote in the Merchant of Venice:

“There are a sort of men whose visages
Do cream and mantle like a standing pond,
And do a wilful stillness entertain
With purpose to be dress’d in an opinion
Of wisdom, gravity, profound conceit;
As who should say, ‘I am Sir Oracle,
And when I ope my lips let no dog bark!’
O, my Antonio, I do know of these,
That therefore only are reputed wise
For saying nothing. …”

In other words, the faces of some men resemble stagnant ponds. They never speak because they are trying to create the impression of profound wisdom. Their faces seem to say “We are Oracles and—when we speak—let no one contradict us.” These men are only able to hold on to their reputations because no one has heard them say anything yet.

Not Craig Shallahamer. He is a passionate educator who—at last count—has provided Oracle training in 23 different countries. Craig will be the keynote speaker at our Summer Conference which is less than a week away. Please review the conference agenda on the back cover of the August 2010 issue of the NoCOUG Journal which has been printed and mailed to all NoCOUG members. You can also download the August 2010 issue of the NoCOUG Journal. I hope you’ll join me to hear Craig speak on August 19. Please RSVP now.

Warm regards,

Iggy Fernandez
